My vision for the future holds a stage I walk upon.

It has a crowd that I am part of and one I stand beyond.

It has a zippy white Jeep Wrangler and a motorcycle, too.

It has a message and a prayer wrapped up as poetry, as glue.

My vision for the future has bold colors, shapes and signs.

It has swirling vibrant energy that naturally leaves some folks behind.

It has long winding trails in capitols across the USA.

It has boulders that I get to move and some that have to stay.

My vision for the future has laughter, dance, and song.

It has collaboration as others joyfully join along.

It has strong legs and spirit, early mornings and long nights.

It has hope and true adventure colored by the Northern Lights.

My vision for the future has a dog hiking by my side

It has books on all my shelves and scribbled journals piled high.

It has a growing ripple when I cast my stone in life’s big lake–

My vision for my future is the art I must create.
